Home Environment Safety & Accessibility Evaluations
If you need a Home Safety & Accessibility evaluation due to a medical condition and have a referral from your doctor then these services can be billed under your health insurance. 

​One reason to have an OT do these evaluations is that some of the adaptations recommended may also be covered under your Long Term Care insurance or may be tax deductible. If you have Medicare Part C or a Medicare Advantage plan changes on January 1st 2019 may provide you with some coverage for home safety modifications equipment. 

You may also have some coverage under your Long Term Care Insurance. Check with your insurance provider.

​If you are looking at Aging in Place or other reasons for a Home Safety & Accessibility evaluation or the service is not covered by your insurance, a 60 - 90 minutes evaluation in your home with a detailed report and follow up meeting provided will cost $165 per hour.
